What is "Fobia"?
Fobia is a monster-of-the-week mystery comic series about a group of friends solving mysteries in the town of Daemouth about these beasts called “Traumas”. This project has visual development and a demo comic. This comic has the theme that fears make you who you are and you can control your fear to your advantage. However, don’t let the fear consume you.
Synopsis
In a small town, called Daemouth, each of the residents have powers called “Fobias”. The Fobia gives each person a superpower that is uniquely based on their own fear. For the most part, the citizens live a productive life alongside their Fobias, but for some, they can’t handle the duality and get consumed by their fear, becoming uncontrollable monsters called Traumas. These Traumas are starting to appear more and more. It is now up to a group of friends to team up and find out what is causing this alarming transformation of the citizens of their town and to stop it before it consumes them all.
Welcome to Daemouth, Massachusetts
Daemouth is a fair-sized town in Massachusetts that was founded by Edward Daemouth in the 1600s. It has shops, entertainment, and schools, a neighborhood filled with houses, and on the outskirts, A luscious forest with an interesting history. Daemouth’s residents know each other very well, there are no strangers in Daemouth, unless you’re from out of town. Daemouth is a very safe place to live in, just don’t focus on missing signs and police patrolling the streets.
What are fobias/Traumas?
Fobias
Fobias are an extension of the person’s fear. The Fobia plays on that fear and enhances it... like a superpower. Fobias are seen as a black silhouette on or near Their Host. Each Fobia behaves differently depending on the host and their fear.
Traumas
Traumas are what the monsters are called when a person is consumed by their fear. The Fobia takes over the host and goes around wrecking havoc through Daemouth. the host isn’t conscious durring this state. Traumas are seen as a more Monsterus version of the host’s Fobia. Traumas have an unknown starting point of forming from
the Fobia. Traumas look different depending on the
type of Fobia.
